The spacious guest room (45 m²) is located in a historic farmhouse renovated with eco-friendly materials: solid wood floors, natural paints, and organic materials create a welcoming atmosphere. Solar thermal panels, a heat pump, and a wood stove provide hot water and heating. The house is surrounded by a newly landscaped flower garden and an orchard. The room features a comfortable bed (160x200 cm), a convertible sofa (140x200 cm) for two additional guests, a table with chairs, a shelf, and a wardrobe. A hairdryer and kettle are provided. Inside the room, a wooden cube contains a modern bathroom (walk-in shower) and toilet. The guest room offers direct access to the garden and a pleasant terrace. A delicious breakfast is included and served on the terrace or in the living room. Dinner can be arranged on request. During your stay, you may have the chance to see the artist Ursi Schiegnitz at work in her studio. Her work focuses on painting, creating paper objects, and art books. You can book an art class with the artist during your stay—for example, bookmaking, creating paper from natural materials, or drawing and painting from life. The house is in the small village of Migré in Charente-Maritime, about 45 km from the Atlantic. The village has an excellent restaurant: La Source du Moulin. Surgères and Saint-Jean-d’Angély (17 km) are the nearest towns with shops and cultural activities.
